Tombstone is the greatest western ever made. Hands down. End of discussion. It’s a crime that Val Kilmer wasn’t even nominated for an academy award for his portrayal of Doc Holliday. Both him, and Kurt Russel as Wyatt Earp, are at top of their games in this film. It’s gritty, it’s powerful, it’ll literally make you stand up and cheer.
There’s certain movies than can always bring you back to a very specific point in your life. Breakfast Club is one of them for me. Early 20s, not much direction, going out late with my friends, and every night I’d crash on my buddy’s couch and throw in Breakfast Club on VHS.
This is my ode to the school of learn-ed wizards that is Hogwarts. I wanted this poster to feel like an aging tapestry or flag, one perhaps that would be hung form the walls of a biology room. The images are the type that would be found in a environmental journal or field guide around the turn of the last century. The scientific practicality of the sketches is a nice juxtaposition to the world of magic and mystery that these animals represent.
